Temple Isaiah is fortunate enough to have one of the most active youth communities in the Greater Boston Area. Within our community, we aspire to create a home for “young people [who] will be empowered as Jews on a personal level, as members of the Jewish community and as citizens of the world.” We hope to teach our teens that Judaism can be a part of their everyday lives and that Judaism is a living, breathing religion that relates to everything they do as teens and everything they will do as adults. We make every effort to teach our teens how important it is for them to be proud Jews who value, honor and respect themselves, each other, their community, and beyond.

We offer a variety of programs for our teens, from Youth Groups to Student Teaching opportunities to a girls' only group, which you can read more about in this section of the web site. For information about Tichon Isaiah, our Religious School program for students in grades 8-12, click here.

Resilience of the Soul: A Special Program for Teens

Resiliency is the ability to manage life’s challenge in ways that promote health and wholeness, to bounce back from stress and adversity, and to do so using means that are life affirming. Resiliency can be taught. Resilience is built when individuals have an opportunity to

• experience themselves as worthwhile, cherished, and capable.
• Share their experiences, express their concerns, and have their feelings validates.
• Remember positive ways in which they have managed in the past.
• Discover new ways to solve problems and find calm.
• Draw upon human and spiritual sources of affirmation, cooperation, acceptance, and hope.

This special program will help teach our teens key skills to build resiliency through creativity, self-expression, and wellness.
